For occasional uploads or organisations without automation capabilities, the FISCAL interface allows direct file uploads through a web browser. While convenient for testing, this method is not recommended for regular production use.
Uploading data to FISCAL: manual upload process
Uploading files
Users with the Uploads permission can drop files into the Uploads page, accessed via your FISCAL site.
On the left hand menu, select the file type you are uploading and then drag and drop or browse to the file.
Manage mappings
When you first upload a file, go to View mappings (via the left hand menu or the 3 dots next to an uploaded file) to map the fields in your data to the FISCAL fields and add additional fields of data. Here you can also configure the date format and other settings depending on the file type.
Once the fields are mapped, Save and Validate to check the mappings and Finish to complete the mappings setup.
Mappings need to be set only once for each file type (transactions, suppliers, employees) uploaded. The settings will be saved for future uploads.
Handle errors
If there are errors in the file, you will be notified via a red number on the Uploads icon. You can see details of the error in the Uploads page. Depending on the type of error, you may be able to continue the processing of the file ignoring the records with errors or you may need to resolve the error and re-upload the file or re-configure the mappings. Our Support team can help you with this - support@fiscaltec.com.
You can set files to process automatically, if there are errors with some records, via the mappings page.
